Melissa began her nursing career in Adelaide, South Australia, where she built a strong foundation across both emergency and surgical care. From the outset, she demonstrated a commitment to patient-centered practice and an aptitude for thriving in dynamic, high-acuity clinical environments.
Driven to expand her expertise, Melissa relocated to London and joined Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust – one of the UK’s most prestigious teaching hospitals. There, she developed advanced skills across complex surgical pathways, strengthened her leadership capabilities, and gained invaluable experience within large-scale hospital operations and multidisciplinary teams.
Motivated by her passion for high-quality patient care and efficient clinical service delivery, Melissa went on to specialise in theatre operations. Her strong organisational skill, collaborative leadership style, and focus on service excellence led to her appointment as Theatre Manager at 101 Harley Street.
In her current role, Melissa oversees the day-to-day operations of the theatre department. She ensures seamless coordination between clinical teams, consultants, and support staff, maintains exceptional safety standards, and drives initiatives to optimise patient flow and theatre performance. Melissa is widely recognised for her proactive approach, commitment to continuous improvement, and unwavering dedication to elevating the patient experience at every stage of their surgical journey.
